There Is A Girl

There is a girl,
Her hair embalmed with flowers,
And her words speak in lullabys,
For my ears to melt.
She speaks in quiet confidence,
That I only witness from afar,
Maybe someday we will talk,
And you'll let me buy you dinner,
And flowers for your hair.
Maybe someday you will see me,
As more than a smile,
And an extroverted voice.
I want you to know who I am,
When there are no witnesses,
My scars that match my damaged eyes,
For your eyes only.
